‘The Dream Merchant’ #5 – Review

Dream Merchant 5 CoverWritten by: Nathan Edmondson
Art by: Anthony Hope-Smith
Color by: Stefano Simeone
Lettering by: Don’t Blink Studios

Honestly this is the first issue of the book I have read. Coming into the series near the end is a little weird, but it is also a little interesting.

Having said that, this is definitely not a series you want to start with this issue. I would recommend getting the first four issues to get the whole story. It will also keep the confusion at bay that comes along with starting the series with issue 5.

The art done by Anthony Hope-Smith has a nice style to it, and I have started looking for more of his work because I like it. The colors of Stefano Simeone’s though are what, in my opinion, make this issue worth getting. He gives the “real” world and the “dream” world contrasting colors, making it easy to discern the settings.

It is the colors that make this book worth getting. overall my thoughts are if you are a fan of the series definitely get this issue, but if you are thinking about getting into teh series start from the beginning.
